Silverstone Festival 2024 – your complete guide

Silverstone Festival 2024 – your complete guide
The 2024 Silverstone Festival is one of the highlights of the motor racing calendar, with classic vehicles, touring cars and historic F1 racers set to blast around the iconic circuit.

The RAC is once again the official on-site breakdown partner of the 2024 Silverstone Festival, which takes place from 23 to 25 August at the world famous F1 circuit in Northamptonshire.

In addition to the high-octane action, visitors will be entertained by three nights of live music from Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Busted, and Olly Murs.

Silverstone Festival 2024

Each year, the Silverstone Festival celebrates motor racing’s rich history with parades, static displays and live racing from sports cars from the past 100 years.

2024 will signify the 76th edition of the Silverstone Festival, and there are three days of action-packed racing.

The festival will be honouring the legacy of Ayrton Senna, with displays of the cars that shaped his life and career.

There will be historic race cars from Formula 2 and 3, as well as races from the Royal Automobile Club.

Race fans can also view Formula 1 cars from the sport’s ‘golden age’, with cars from 1966 to 1985 taking part in a number of special races.

Silvestone will host competitive events for pre-WW2 sports cars from the 1920s and 1930s, too.

Saturday 24 August will be one of the weekend’s highlights, with transatlantic pre-1966 touring cars rolling back the years and battling it out in a number of events. There will also be a huge parade of Ford Mustangs, as the car celebrates its 60th anniversary.

Silverstone Festival 2024 live music

A recent addition to the event is having an artist or band close out each day of the festival.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor will be on the main stage on Friday. The Saturday night will see Busted in action, performing their noughties classics. And pop star Olly Murs will close out the festival on the Sunday night.

Support acts including Shola Ama, Cassa Jackson, ADMT, and Nath Brooks.
