What you need to do to claim your refund
Email [email protected] with your RAC policy number and the following information:
- Screenshots of your AA quote which shows:
a. Date of quote
b. Your postcode
c. Your vehicle registration (vehicle based policies only)
d. Your date of birth
e. Proof of the equivalent cover level

d. RAC Extra & Onward Travel – closest equivalent to AA National Recovery & Onward Travel.
e. RAC Complete – closest equivalent to AA Roadside, National Recovery & At Home.
f. RAC Complete & Onward Travel – to AA Roadside, National Recovery, At Home & Onward Travel. - Saving only applicable to closest equivalent breakdown cover only, excludes all other AA cover levels.
How the price guarantee works:
- Purchase your RAC Breakdown Cover via www.rac.co.uk
- If you find the same cover level cheaper direct with the AA (theaa.com) within 7 days of purchasing, RAC will beat the premium by 10%.
- You need to share proof of AA’s cover being cheaper within 7 days of purchasing your RAC Breakdown Cover.
- Eligible customers who have an annual policy will be refunded the difference onto their original payment card within 30 working days.
- Eligible customers who have a monthly policy will have the difference refunded by amending the monthly price. The discounted price will be applied for as long as you keep your RAC policy up to a maximum of 12 continuous months.
- The following information needs to be provided within 7 days of purchasing your RAC Breakdown Cover to the following email address [email protected]:
a. Your RAC policy number
b. Screenshots showing the AA equivalent breakdown cover quote which must include:
i. Date of quote
ii. Your postcode
iii. Your vehicle registration
iv. Your date of birth
v. The AA equivalent cover level - This information needs to match the details you provided when purchasing your RAC cover.
